Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Promotions, assists in the creation and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and promotional yearly plan. Assists in leading the creative team in creation of all creative content, including, but not limited to: external marketing and advertisement i.e. billboards, TV advertisement, radio advertisement, print media & internal marketing and advertisement i.e. posters, social media content, promotional items, and video content. Leads creative team in developing creative content for social media. Assists with managing, coordinating, and coaching student staff, interns, and work study students interested in athletic marketing. Assists with the implementation of a community outreach program focused on increasing attention and attendance for all university sports. Assists in the implementation of event and game operations.
High school diploma or GED plus six months to one year of related experience is required.
Previous athletic sales and/or marketing experience.
Knowledge of NCAA Division I sports, including rules and regulations for said sports.
Knowledge of general marketing practices.
Skills in developing fund-raising, advertising, and marketing promotions.
Skills in marketing, communication, management, and budgeting.
Skills in computers and computer software applications.
Responsible, reliable, interpersonal, organized, and competent.
Preferred skills in photography, photo editing, videography, video editing, Adobe Suite, social media management, and sports writing.
Ability to manage program budgets as assigned.
Ability to help supervise and train student staff, interns, and work study students in the athletic marketing group.
