Applications are currently being accepted from qualified candidates for a part-time Medical Assistant Instructor at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Superior Campus. This position will teach Medical Assistant Lab classes beginning fall semester, 2016. This instructor will also teach the lab class as well as one other Medical Assistant course during spring semester, 2017.
An instructor’s primary purpose is to foster learner success, assess learner achievement, and continually improve learning opportunities. Instructors also contribute to the college’s operational effectiveness by forming partnerships with learners, co-workers, and business and industry stakeholders.
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalency*.
2. Two years (4,000 hours) occupational (non-teaching) experience as a Medical Assistant or Medical Laboratory Technician of which at least one year (2,000 hours) is within five years prior to date of hire.
3. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred.
4. Certification as a Medical Assistant or Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred.
*Occupational experience combined with education and training preparing a person for the occupation totaling 7 years or 14,000 hours shall be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. Each academic credit or equivalent credit shall be equal to 110 hours of occupational experience.
$34.09 – 40.07 hourly
