The International Recruiter/Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of customized recruiting and marketing plans for international students at the WSU Tri-Cities campus. Position entails active recruiting efforts through international agencies, traveling to regional community colleges to recruit international transfer students, traveling internationally to recruit undergraduate and graduate students. This position works collaboratively with the system’s International Program Office to facilitate awareness and growth of international student opportunities at the Tri-Cities campus.
Duties will also include development of orientation programming and support programs for incoming international students, coordination of agencies in assigned countries and participation in the research and development of potential new markets for international student recruitment.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Three (3) years experience working for an educational institution with international students.
Fluency in a language in addition to English.
Experience with CollegeNET application service systems.
Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Experience leveraging social media and web services to boost recruitment goals.
Experience working and managing international student agency relationships.
