Academic Advisor

The Academic Advisor is Responsible for post-matriculation services to adult undergraduate and graduate online students enrolled through the Division of Continuing Studies. The successful candidate will get to coordinate ongoing systems of communication to create a seamless experience from acceptance to completion, and will achieve exemplary customer service by working with partner units to extend the reach of the College's academic and student support services. The Academic Advisor communicates and follows College policy as laid out in the College Catalog. Responsibility for updating student files and maintaining the integrity of the student academic record also resides with this role.

A bachelor's degree is required (master's preferred) and 2-4 years academic advising experience. An equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved will be considered. Must have a strong managerial and organizational mindset, with experience in managing projects with a variety of disparate parts. Our new colleague will have strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills; be an excellent communicator (both written and oral); experience working in cross-functional teams; and be able to exercise tact and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential issues
