Detailed Job Description

Responsible for building and maintaining effective communication among their respective college, The University of Alabama, and all community and education stakeholders. Responsible for increasing and maintaining alumni relations in their respective college as well as planning and implementing special events.

Additional Department Summary:

The primary duties are to support and develop students in the Honors College. This position will have direct responsibility with the Honors College Relations arm of the Honors College and report directly to the Director of Honors College Relations. The position will develop, advise, and provide access to opportunities for students in the Honors College. This position will support efforts with HC personal/professional education/advising, the HC Residential College, and Honors Year Two. The Coordinator will oversee the HC professional shadowing program, promote internship opportunities to Honors College students, and increase the number of internship opportunities.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree and two (2) years of work experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

The ability to travel alone out of town, sometimes overnight; an interest in working with college students; the ability to work with different cultures and groups of people. The functions of this position will require some evening and weekend work. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree and experience in college education, student development, programming, advising, student activities, and/or career center. Prefer experience working with Honors College students or experience working in an Honors College environment. Experience with administering personality inventories. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 32614.44 Midpoint - $ 47299.20
