Detailed Job Description

Under administrative direction, leads and manages the school based development team for the North (main) campus; manages a portfolio of donors for the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts; provides strategic direction to the North (main) campus team for school based fundraising, donor events/stewardship, reunion giving, cultivation activity/metrics; leads the on-boarding and training of new development directors at the North (main) campus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics

Knowledge of the Banner system, Reeher, Web Focus, and Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of technology and social networking strategies
Knowledge of fundraising concepts and terminology
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to collaborate internally and externally
Proven ability to solicit gifts
Ability to organize time, projects, and events
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to supervise professional staff, delegate assignments, track performance, and ensure goals are met
Ability to travel locally (nationally when needed) to manage and develop donor relations

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with five to eight (5-8) years of experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Identifies, cultivates and solicits philanthropic support by developing and maintaining relationships with individuals including alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and other key personnel; travels locally, and out-of-town as necessary to cultivate and steward relationships referenced above.

Manages Frost (main) campus development team including on-boarding/training of new directors, day-to-day operations, DO travel schedule, Banner entries of donor engagements, reporting of metrics, annual performance evaluations

Builds working relationships and serves as development liaison to deans and center directors to support their fundraising priorities and spearhead their engagement to key constituents; nurtures culture of philanthropic collaboration with departments and centers.

Serves as North campus liaison to Admission and Alumni Engagement departments to establish Development initiatives that support donor cultivation/stewardship opportunities at activities such as Summer Send-Offs, President’s Scholar interviews and Homecoming/Family Weekend.

Performs other duties as assigned.
