The Education Specialist will provide professional development and follow-up support services to teachers and schools.

Additional Department Summary:

Recruit pre-service high school physics teachers, mentor undergraduate Learning Assistants, team-teach physics courses designed for pre-service high school physics teachers.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in a math or science focus and one (1) year experience in education. Must be certified to teach in Alabama.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Class A certification to teach high school physics.Ten years of experience teaching K-12 with at least five years of experience teaching high school physics. Level 3 training in Alabama Science in Motion physics labs.

Skills and Knowledge:

MS Office proficiency, organizational skills, communication skills, ability to work with students and faculty, proficiency with undergraduate physics labs.57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 32614.44 Midpoint - $ 47299.20
