Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides technical support for lab equipment and troubleshoots problems, operates drill-press, lathe, CNC milling machine, and other electromechanical machineries

Monitors and assists students while explaining and enforcing lab policies and procedures to ensure safe and proper utilization of lab equipment

Assists faculty with the design and testing of new experiments during lab sessions

Orders, receives, and stores supplies and ensures proper maintenance of lab equipment

Provides functional supervision to assigned Part-time staff and Student employees

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Associate’s degree

Minimum of two years of engineering or manufacturing industry experience

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Possess working knowledge of 3-D CAD software and CNC milling Machine

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Possess strong organizational and time-management skills

Basic-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Possess intermediate project management skills

Ability to effectively collaborate with students, faculty, and colleagues at all levels throughout the College

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
