The Facilities Maintenance II will support the University in maintaining a safe and effective learning and work environment for students, faculty and staff. Perform routine to moderately complex surface preparation, painting and finishing tasks, applying a variety of methods, media and techniques to both interior and exterior surfaces.
Graduated with a standard high school or the equivalent plus 1-3 year(s) experience related to key roles and responsibilities. Must have a valid Drivers License.
Knowledge of blueprint and plan reading and interpretation.
Skill in selecting and applying paint and associated products.
Skill in applying coatings and/or caulking and completing repairs to exterior and interior surfaces.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the trade.
Ability to select, mix and apply surface coatings which successfully match and/or restore historic interior or exterior surfaces.
Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
