Qualifications required are a Ph.D. in biochemistry with an emphasis in protein purification, enzymology, and crystallography with 0-3 year’s postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary collaborative team under Dr. Tavis’ overall supervision to purify variants of a viral enzyme, evaluate the variants’ activity, and pursue crystallization and structural determination studies on the variants.
