The Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue Generation is responsible for all activities intended to increase sales revenue for the Miami Athletic Department through efforts of Fan, Campus and Community Engagement, Ticket Sales (Aspire), Ticket Operations. The position is responsible for the creation and implementation of innovative sales strategies that result in increased revenue.  This is a managerial position that oversees staff and is responsible for their development and supervision.  This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.  

This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.


  • Responsible for assisting Aspire in the execution of ticket sales plans that promote attendance for the ticketed sports teams.
  • Responsible for all functions related to and oversight of all aspects of Athletic Ticketing and Ticketing Operations, including all processes and procedures.
  • Work with Aspire and the Director of Ticket Operations to develop specific tactics to drive sales that promote attendance at home events.
  • Responsible to work closely with the Ticket Sale Database Marketing and Analytics Coordinator.
  • Responsible to oversee the creation and implementation of promotional fan events intended to increase fan engagement.
  • Coordinate strategies to increase the positive visibility of the Miami University Athletics Program with students, fans and the general public.
  • Direct and supervise staff to plan and execute promotional activities, general in-game environment and foster increased fan interaction resulting in an enhanced in-game experience.
  • Responsible to build, plan and execute the external operations calendar.
  • Responsible to coordinate a consistent message between units that promotes sales and increases revenue.
  • Responsible for game day quality control and management of Fan and Community Engagement, Ticket Operations and Ticket Sales.
  • Develop and monitor Fan and Community Engagement and Ticket Operations budgets.
  • Oversee the distribution of all external marketing promotional collateral.
  • Oversee programs designed to foster community relations.
  • Participate in strategic planning for the Athletic Department.
  • Oversee the development of staff and interns.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree; one to three years of collegiate or other relevant demonstrated marketing, ticket sales, ticket operations, promotions or other applicable revenue generation experiences.  Must be well organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.  Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends.  Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.  Demonstrate a commitment to academic integrity, gender equity, and diversity with the ability to work well with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree with five or more years of collegiate or other relevant demonstrated marketing, ticket sales, ticket operations, promotions or other applicable revenue generation experiences.
