Provides training, coaching, technical assistance, and consultation to child care centers in multiple counties participating in the Department of Workforce Services, Office of child Care New Center Grant Programs, and other early childhood initiatives.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree and two years of related experience or any combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Bachelors degree or advanced degree in child development or closely related field. Experience of 1 or more years working in a child care facility as a teacher or administrator. Preference will be to candidates that have administrative experience in a child care center and also to candidates that speak Spanish.
Knowledge of adult learners and training techniques, child care best practices, developmentally appropriate principles, and coaching and consultation techniques.
Basic computer skills.
Skills in effective and clear communication.
Keen observational skills.
Ability to build relationships with adults.
Ability to be reliable and maintain 85% reliability on the Harms scale as determined by the Office of Child Care.
