Job Responsibilities

Will work closely with special populations to improve Tri-C conversion rates by creating a clearly defined transfer process

Will be responsible for the systemic tracking of special populations of students transferring to a four-year institution and transfer-ready students transferring to and from Tri-C

Will work closely with upper classmen to increase Tri-C completion rates by creating a clearly defined transfer process and system to connect students to transfer resources

Assist students in the application process, connects students with four-year partner counterparts, and schedules and facilitates college tours

Assists with planning and supporting college wide retention and completion events such as GradFest, Success Week, Transfer Fairs, and others

May work to support the College’s IPEDS outreach to increase completion and transfer rates

Assists in faculty and student communication regarding new services and opportunities for transfer students

Assists in the coordination of students using pre-transfer planning services and maintains relationships with four-year partner institutions

May represent the department at College-wide events to community constituents as directed

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


Master’s degree in education or a related field and a minimum of two years of demonstrated secondary or post-secondary instructional and/or student services experience

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


Possesses working knowledge of student completion concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills

Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships

Demonstrated basic project management skills

Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Ability to collaborate, persuade and gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of operation, Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
