Are you an experienced welder who wants to share that experience and skill with students to help them attain career success? Think about joining our faculty team in the Welding Department and start your new career in educating the welders of tomorrow.
Work Site: Main Campus

Duties & Responsibilities

The position will report to the Welding Program Coordinator and will provide instruction to post-secondary students in college courses. He/she will teach courses in the day and evening programs providing students with an Associate of Applied Science Degree and or welding certificates. Individual will be expected to be active in college committees, work with industry in providing training, develop and revise curriculum to expand the existing program, and recruit new students. He/she will be responsible for teaching in the areas of shop safety, SMAW, GTAW and GMAW, metal fabrication/layout, blueprint reading, structural and pipe welding. Individual will maintain 5 office hours per week and participate in student advising as needed. All other related duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Qualifications

A minimum of five years of Journeyman level welding experience is required. An Associates Degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in vocational education or a related field is a plus. Teaching experience at a community college level highly desirable. Successful candidate will be dynamic and have a high energy level along with a strong commitment to the community college philosophy and student success. Candidate should value diversity and have a multi-cultural perspective with adult/minority students.

Starting Salary

$35,000 - $41,000
