Detailed Job Description

The Athletic Intern will work with the Athletic Department staff and student athletes in an intern position. The incumbent will assist in the everyday duties as specified by the internship.

Additional Department Summary:

This Intern position will work full time in the Olympic Sports Equipment Room in Coleman Coliseum under the Direct Supervision of the Director of Equipment – Olympic Sports. This position will assist in the Daily Operation of the Olympic Sports Equipment Room – including but not limited to assisting in the Supervision of Student Managers, cleaning of practice and game laundry, Packing of Uniforms for Road Competitions, Setting up Uniforms in Home Locker Rooms for Game Competition, Assist in the Ordering, Receiving, Distribution of Nike Apparel and Equipment, Football Visiting Team Liaison

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any field, OR individuals currently enrolled in college completing their undergraduate studies. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of personal computers and standard software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a Division 1 Athletic Equipment Room, Must have at minimum a Bachelor Degree from a University or College.

Skills and Knowledge:

Must be able to work well with others, Must be able to lift 100 pounds, Must be able to work weekends. Based on Qualifications
