The International Admissions Coordinator for the Graduate School works with an interdisciplinary admissions team to attract, recruit and matriculate international students into graduate programs at Miami University.
The International Admissions Coordinator is expected to contribute to the continuing success of international admissions at Miami University by working on all aspects of the international admissions process. This includes activities such as developing leads and working with prospective students throughout the admissions process; developing relationships with other organizations in the U.S. and abroad; creating and editing marketing materials and evaluating ROI for strategic recruiting initiatives.
The International Admissions Counselor works collaboratively with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) staff to ensure the processing and matriculation of incoming international graduate students.
The incumbent will have knowledge of computer databases, information systems, and new technologies including CRM systems. Also, the Coordinator will have the skills and know how to leverage the internet for recruiting international graduate students.
The International Admissions Coordinator will be required to travel, domestically and occasionally abroad, in support of international admissions. The coordinator must feel comfortable representing the university regionally, nationally and internationally at recruitment events. Effective communication with graduate faculty and active participation in the training of staff and student workers involved in the international admissions process is essential.
The International Admissions Coordinator will attend regional and national professional conferences and should be familiar with the ethical guidelines set forth by the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors (NAFSA); make admissions presentations at Miami and other post-secondary institutions and perform various other duties as needed related to international graduate admissions activities.

-Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects
-Ability to analyze data and reports and develop strategic plans based on research
-Must have ability to interact professionally, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with diverse faculty, administrators, and students, individually and in small groups
Master's Degree preferred.
Preference to candidates with experience in admissions.
