Position: Instructor/Assistant Instructor (Support Teacher)
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a Bachelor's degree in a field related to Early Childhood Education with six (6) or more courses in early childhood education and/or child development; ability to maintain a program of developmentally appropriate classroom instruction and physical management and care for children ages three to five years. The appointment will be at the rank of assistant instructor with a bachelor's degree and at the rank of instructor with a master's degree.

Duties: Responsibilities include: Provide the Child Development Coordinator in providing assistance to ensure a safe and nurturing environment in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards, program policies and procedures and Department of Children and Family Services Day Care Licensing Standards. Perform work that includes both center classroom support and support to the child/development service area, which may require reporting to the administration office on days that children are not in attendance.
