Position: Instructor/Assistant Instructor (Early Childhood Development Coach Specialist)
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, two years of documented coaching/mentoring experience with teachers in an early childhood setting, and documented experience using technology in an educational setting required. Individuals CLASS certified and reliable observer with knowledge of ECERS assessment tool and Teaching Strategies GOLD, preferred. The appointment will be at the rank of assistant instructor with a bachelor's degree and at the rank of instructor with a master's degree.

Duties: Responsibilities include: Ensuring the program's continued improvement of teacher performance and child outcomes; providing coaching/mentoring to classroom teachers centered on CLASS, ECERS, school readiness, child outcomes, and child development; working collaboratively alongside all teaching staff on a consistent basis, providing professional development and enhancing classroom performance of all teaching staff; modeling classroom teaching practices to teaching staff that are developmentally and culturally appropriate; sharing information with teaching staff in a clear and concise way that teachers can comprehend and begin to implement changes based on information given. Major areas of responsibilities are development of a coach/mentor plan, implementation and monitoring of the plan and analyzing teacher performance data and linking data to professional development plans and child outcomes data.
