Detailed Job Description

This position is a systems focused IT professional with a broad scope of duties. Duties include designing and implementing computer and network systems, documenting complex infrastructure, creating systems policy, automate systems tasks, manage backups and monitoring, and acts as a tier 3 systems support for other IT groups in the college.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired. Education and experience may be tailored to specific need requirements of position.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading the work of others.

Experience interfacing with databases as it relates to systems engineering.

Experience in Higher Education.

Public speaking experience, e.g., presentations, training.

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft server tools such as SCCM, SCOM, Forefront products (TMG, Endpoint Protection), Hyper-V.

Demonstrated experience with Linux server tools such as Puppet and Chef, CRON, and the ability to compile software packages.

Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral.
