The Director, Office of the Vice President is the primary contact for the Vice President and CIO regarding ongoing IT activities. The Director provides the VP and CIO with a line of sight into departmental activity, drives cadence of projects/initiatives and reports back to VP with updates on activity and/or critical escalations to ensure awareness.
Working knowledge of information technology products, services, and processes.
Strong customer-focus who can be seen as a trusted advisor to IT leadership and a broad set of non-IT stakeholders.
Ability to build consensus through relationship building

Interpersonal/ Human Relations skills
Understanding of IT operations and IT best practices.
Bachelor’s Degree; supplemented with five (5) years related work experience.
Acts as a project manager in communication with Vice President, Chief Innovation Officer to identify key department and University priorities; collaborates with various Information Technology Services stakeholders to manage project tasks to completion.
Manages activities related to the Office of the Vice President to provide effective office support, including personnel oversight of the Manager, ITS Communications and Administrative Assistant, Sr.
Serves proxy or designate for Vice President, Chief Innovation Officer, representing department at meetings and other events as needed; acts as liaison between VP, CIO and other parties when necessary
Works closely with Senior Information Technology leadership to communicate ongoing initiatives and summarize the information to the VP CIO
Oversees operational tasks including management of the strategic technology road map and various IT reporting needs
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
