Miami University is seeking to hire a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate courses in African American History, The Black Experience and Black World Studies. This position is a one-year appointment beginning August 22, 2016, for one academic year and is non-renewable.
Teach full load of undergraduate courses, including a survey of The African American Experience, Introduction to Black World Studies and courses in area of specialty. For this position, Miami University will not sponsor applicants for H-1B work status.
PhD in Social Sciences or Humanities by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; ABD in cognate areas for appointment as Instructor; ability to teach a survey of African American Experience, Introduction to Black World Studies and courses in area of specialty.
Ability to teach students whose first language is not English or ESL Training.
