The Department of Psychology at Wheaton College (IL) invites applications for a full time position in our new M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program, to begin July 2012. This is a staff position with faculty rank. Responsibilities will include clinical training activities in the MFT program such as securing and coordinating clinical placements for M.A. students, providing clinical supervision, and assisting the MFT program coordinator with program assessment and accreditation issues. Duties also will include academic advising and program administration across all M.A. programs. The ideal candidate will be an experienced MFT supervisor who demonstrates exceptional skills and experience in fostering the development of graduate student clinical skills, exhibits knowledge and experience with MFT core competencies, possesses excellent administrative skills, and exhibits strong networking skills in developing partnerships with community agencies.
Applicants should hold a M.A. or Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy or the equivalent, be MFT licensed or license eligible in the State of Illinois, and hold the AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation or eligibility. Interest in global MFT issues and underserved populations is highly desirable.
