Detailed Job Description

This position is responsible for administering computer systems supporting multiple users and responsible for developing computing solutions within Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and the Business Office for the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA). This position is responsible for researching, designing and implementing of security procedures and rules for area boarder and internal network firewall(s) for multiple agencies within area. This position is also responsible for developing automation for continuous systems status, back-ups, and switch health. Additionally, this position provides expert consultation and specialized analysis, design, development, and problem resolution on a variety of issues within VCEA.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAN (NetApp) preferred
IC Design Tool support such as Mentor Graphic, Cadence, Synopsys, etc.

Excellent spoken and written communications skills.

Develop and write systems and applications documentation
Implement security procedures and tools to ensure security measures are in place

Monthly Salary

Commensurate with qualifications and experience
