Saint Louis University, a Jesuit Catholic institution dedicated to education, research, healthcare and service, seeks applicants for an 11-month position to hold the Danforth Chair in Theological Studies. The position of Visiting Professor would begin 01 August 2016 and end on 30 June 2017. The Department of Theological Studies seeks an outstanding scholar with a strong record of publication and extensive research experience in one or more of the sub-disciplines of theology. The successful candidate will pursue a research project during the academic year. (S)He will teach one course in the Spring semester (either an upper division or graduate course) and give one public lecture in the academic year. (S)He will also be available for consultation to the doctoral students in the department. The holder of the chair will have full access to all of the University’s research resources and systems. The position includes a research fund and a dedicated graduate research assistant. The minimum requirements for the position
are a PhD or an equivalent terminal degree in Theological Studies or a related field, at least two years teaching experience at the post-secondary level, and a significant record of peer-reviewed publications.
