Detailed Job Description

This is a one hundred percent (100%) time term position beginning as soon as possible. Continued appointment is dependent on periodic performance reviews, and extension of appointment is subject to availability of grant funds.

Description of Duties and Position: To assist in the studies of ovarian cancer and uterine development. General duties include:

  1. Perform in vitro cell culture experiments.
  2. Perform in vivo nude mouse experiments.
  3. Perform Western analyses, PCR and related cell tumor analyses.
  4. Data analysis and preparation of data for presentation and grant submission.
  5. Train undergraduate and graduate students.
  6. Order equipment and supplies for laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications: MS degree in Molecular Biology, Physiology or related field; or BS degree in Molecular Biology, Physiology or a related field and at least 2 years relevant laboratory experience. Those with demonstrated experience in the areas of animal handling, tissue culture, and use of molecular techniques will be given preference.

Salary: Researcher II minimum starting salary is $2317.50/month.
