The CareerPassport Events Coordinator coordinates the details of all CareerPassport Program events including the CareerPassport Lecture Series, Career “Hot Topics” Discussion Groups, networking events, service projects, Annual ELUD Awards Banquet, Annual Engaged Learning Retreat, program orientations, and program socials. Duties include scheduling locations, ordering food, contacting and supporting presenters and guests, coordinating event marketing and promotion, and day-of-event set up, management, and clean-up responsibilities. Occasional evening events are required.
High School Diploma or GED required and 1 year related experience.
Knowledge of general event management practices.
Strong customer-service and people skills.
Excellent organization skills.
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates creativity and innovation.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to successfully manage several tasks and events simultaneously.
