Detailed Job Description

Assists in research work in support of a major research project which may include duties such as gathering, tracking and entering data, preparing support material, etc.

Additional Department Summary:

The ACTIVE-C On-Site Coordinators will be responsible for the Health System Navigation of HCV+ patients desiring treatment. They will coordinate the identification of patients who were screened for HCV, the collection of demographic and clinical information, data regarding HCV treatment outcomes as well as Patient Reported Outcomes for diagnosed patients. They will assist with education training efforts, facilitate collection of data, and be responsible for the entry of patient data in the secured reporting electronic database and data quality at the sites. The On-Site coordinators will work with community primary healthcare providers, local health officials, and emergency department staff by supporting linkage, retention, and treatment services for newly diagnosed persons.

Required Minimum Qualifications

At least two (2) semesters of research support experience (student work experience is acceptable) or a bachelor's degree.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nursing, Public Health or a related field and experience working in a clinic-based setting. Must be willing to travel.

Skills and Knowledge:

Patient navigation Data collection and management Medical record review Motivational Interviewing

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Social Work, Nursing or Public Health and experience working with patients diagnosed with HIV, HCV, or STDs. Non Classified - Grade NA
