The Associate Director Supply Stores is responsible for managing operations for specified areas and functions within the Supply Store.
Additional Department Summary:
This position is committed to providing effective direction and leadership to the branch management and sales staff in the areas of merchandise planning, inventory management, and superior customer service standards. The Associate Director, Supply Store Branches is responsible for managing branch operations of the Supply Store. This position oversees day to day operations for one or more functional areas within the University Supply Stores. Responsibilities include preparing locations for operation, supervising staff, monitoring inventory, and/or resolving employee and customer complaints or concerns. This position oversees the day to day operations of the Supply Stores' branch operations. Combined, branch locations generate over $2.2 million in annual sales. Responsibilities include assuring that they are fully stocked, merchandised, staffed and operate in accordance with the goals and missions of the University Supply Stores and the University of Alabama. This position is also a key control person for branch operations, and in that capacity, this position is responsible for the operation, the opening and closing of the store and is listed for call-outs by the UA Department of Public Safety in the event of an after-hours alarm or other type situations. This position supervises and assists with inventory control, processing and transferring of merchandise to and from the branches. This position works on the days of all home football games and at times during University holiday periods. As a member of management, this position is expected to exhibit a high level of sound judgment and diplomacy in handling any problems which arise including customer and employee situations. The individual in this position must demonstrate a strong technical and operational knowledge over a wide variety of job responsibilities. Position must be performed with consistent accuracy and attention to detail in order to achieve results expected in a very complex retail system. This position is one of seven that reports directly to the Store Director.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience; OR Master's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. 60 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 50918.40 Midpoint - $ 73839.96
