Detailed Job Description

Advises prospective and new transfer students, including international transfer students, regarding how their transfer work will apply toward their chosen major. Determines eligibility of standard transfer credit, including domestic and International transcripts with Faculty, Advisors, and/or department chairs.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree and two years professional experience in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling four years.

Knowledge

Knowledge of Transfer Credit best practices.

Knowledge of student advisement methods and techniques.

Knowledge of content and curriculum.

Skills

Skills in word processing, spreadsheets and Database software Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

Skills in filing and records maintenance.

Skills in conflict resolution.

Abilities

Ability to work with management level personnel.

Ability to independently multi-task and follow-through with tasks to completion.

Ability to solve problems creatively.

Ability to work with a diversity of personalities.

Ability to work and compromise effectively as a team.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a diverse individual or groups.

Ability to be highly detailed and accurate in work related issues.

Pay Range

$27,051 to $33,814 annually
