Detailed Job Description

This position will be responsible for the following:

Reference: Staff reference desk 15-18 hours per week. Possible work schedule is Tuesday-Saturday with one evening shift.
Instruction: Provide course-integrated instruction in-person or online.
Liaison: Provide collection development, instruction, and other liaison
services in assigned areas.
Library Events: Assist in the coordination and promotion of library events
Faculty Role: participate in professional organizations; represent the Library on committees, as assigned.

This is a temporarily funded position expected to end on June 30, 2017.

Required Qualifications

ALA accredited MLS by time of hire; demonstrated excellence in providing public service; commitment to furthering institutional diversity and retention goals; flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Experience providing reference services in an academic library; experience in teaching in-person library instruction sessions; experience in coordinating and promoting library events.

Monthly Salary

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
