Under administrative direction, plans, directs, and creates quality improvement functions; responsible for daily clinical operations at the department’s St. John’s trauma clinic.
Knowledge of health care and medical procedures, including terminology, Interpersonal/human relations skills, Attentiveness to detail, Supervisory skills, Ability to exert average physical effort
Nursing degree required; supplemented with three (3) years of experience in clinical nursing and/or management; Missouri RN licensure required.
Responsible for the daily operations and functioning of high volume, fast-paced multi specialty orthopaedic clinics; both private practice from General Trauma Call at St. John’s and the St. John’s Trauma clinic.
Coordinates surgery scheduling with administrative staff; includes gathering results of all tests, obtaining precertification and other authorizations as necessary.
Establishes standards of performance and maintains an evaluation system for clinical personnel; facilitates communication and problem solving for issues regarding the clinic.
Provides supervision of SLU casting technician and provides supervision to the St. John’s staff employed at the St. John’s Orthopaedic Clinic.
Perform other duties as assigned.
