The Transfer Admissions Counselor will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling prospective transfer students to The University of the Incarnate Word.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities The candidate should have strong verbal and written skills, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to take initiative for planning and implementing projects. Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, and desire to work in a team-orientated environment are essential. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office. Perform other task as assigned.
Description of Job Duties
Management of transfer admissions recruiting territory as assigned to include written and verbal communications, travel to areas for the purpose of recruiting prospective students, pulling reports for territory and individual meetings.
Assist and attend campus events to promote, engage and encourage prospective students toward their enrollment at UIW.
Review of documents toward admissions decision for prospective students applying to UIW.
Assist prospective students of all levels visiting or calling campus with presentations, questions, and individual meetings.
Required Education Bachelor’s Degree
Required Work Experience No minimum
Preferred Qualifications Previous college admissions or higher education experience. Ability to read and understand college transcripts and determine transfer credit processing. Ability to calculate GPA.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations Texas Driver’s License.
