Detailed Job Description

Under administrative direction, is responsible for the day-to-day organization of the basketball program; provides administrative support to the head coach and student-athletes; oversees summer camps and coaches clinic activities; and maintains compliance with NCAA, Atlantic 10 and university rules and regulations.

Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner; excellent communication skills required for working with diverse groups; strong written communication skills; excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrated appreciation for diversity; ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion handling sensitive matters involving student-athletes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree supplemented with two (2) years of related experience; previous collegiate playing, coaching, or recruiting experience; ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains the daily organization and overall administration of the basketball program; coordinates recruiting efforts; coordinates travel for staff and prospective student-athletes; schedules practice facilities and game day activities (home and away); coordinates equipment and apparel orders; maintains NCAA compliance forms.

Manages, trains, and schedules student managers; coordinates and communicates with visiting teams, alumni, community partners and media relations.

Monitors budget and finances for the basketball program; collaborates with the Athletics business office to maintain solid financial control; coordinates required paperwork; resolves any budgetary issues.

Oversees activities and responsibilities associated with the daily operation of summer camps and clinics.

Performs other duties as assigned.
