Assists Spirit Squad Coordinator in all events with student participants. Assists with teaching appropriate techniques and safety measures applicable to the discipline. Provides training to student participants concerning Cheer Team and Spirit events and activities. Choreographs performances as needed for the position. Implements skill strengthening programs. Attends all university Dance Team events, games, performances, and practices.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree or any combination of education and/or full-time experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling two years.
Knowledge of team organization, motivation, and strategic skills.
Knowledge and experience at collegiate level.
Knowledge of all AACCA and NCAA regulations and university policies and procedures.
Skills in interpersonal relationships and effective communication.
Skills in interpersonal problem-solving and decision-making.
Ability to create and teach correct technique in tumbling, stunting and routines.
Ability to instruct, manage, motivate and evaluate students work and performance.
Ability to interact and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
