Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an approved RN program, with bachelors degree in nursing preferred; supplemented with two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience; Missouri RN licensure required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assists physician in clinic; performs patient histories and physical examinations under physician supervision; evaluates results and monitors treatment plans; maintains medical records; assists with completion of forms for studies; and completes boarding forms and packets for surgery.

Coordinates surgery scheduling with administrative staff, which includes gathering results of all tests and obtaining pre-certification and other authorizations as necessary; arranges appointments with PCP and specialists as needed; and contacts patient with all of the information necessary prior to surgery.

Oversees patient schedules, appointments, and procedures; schedules tests; attends and assists during surgical procedures.

Serves as the main contact for patients before and after surgery; educates patients in the outpatient clinics; and responds to consultations made by physicians.
