Under the direction of the Upward Bound Program Director, works with a group of high school students grades 9th -12th. Duties include supervising activities, workshops, including study sessions, and attending weekly staff meetings. Oversees and leads student committees. Tracks student progress and class attendance, along with tutoring students when needed. Ensures the safety of students while in dorms and on field trips.
Graduation with a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of college education.
Knowledge of conducting workshops for high school students.
Knowledge of policies and procedures in safety and ethical behavior.
Skills in interpersonal, problem-solving and decision making.
Skills in using basic office equipment.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a diverse group.
Ability to get along with different types of personalities.
