Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor in Family Studies (non-tenure track)
Teach courses in the Family Studies undergraduate program using both online and face-to-face course formats. Courses may include, but are not limited to, Diverse Family Systems across the Life Cycle, Child Development, Adolescent Development, and Later Life families. The person in this position will be responsible for teaching a full-load of Family Studies courses. Responsibilities may also include committee work, student advising and other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair.
Earned Master’s degree in Family Studies, Human Development, or a related field, knowledge of and experience with multicultural populations (for appointment as Instructor); PhD with earned degree in Family Studies and Human Development (for appointment as a Visiting Assisting Professor).
Professional or academic background in Family Studies.
Demonstrated record of teaching excellence. Experience with online teaching and/or skills to incorporate technology in teaching.
