Description of Position: The Researcher I - SharePoint Specialist position (100%), is assigned to the Center for Workforce Development in the Department of Workforce Education and Development at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Position is located in Springfield, IL. Position to work directly with technical and program staff on mobile and web portal applications.
Responsibilities: The primary function is to serve as a SharePoint Specialist with expertise in enterprise web and mobile application projects; develop custom asp.net applications using current technologies; implement web services, including Restful API design; software application planning for software development cycle; and enterprise system data migration.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience; 3+ years of professional work experience with enterprise architecture.
Preferred Requirements: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE); Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
Effective Date of Appointment: This is a term position located in Springfield, IL, to begin as soon as possible.
