Under general direction, provides patient care; conducts physical exams; completes health history summary; documents patients’ progress; assists with patient care management.

Master’s degree in nursing, Missouri RN license, and certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse required. ANCC Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with a strong medical knowledge base in geriatrics preferred.
Assists with patient care management; provides follow-up care to patients; updates physicians and surgeons on patients’ status.
Answering phone calls from patients, their families, caregivers, home health nurses, etc to help with their medical care and/or triage for the attending physician
Keeps informed of inpatients’ progress by attending daily rounds; documents progress in medical record charts; interacts with skilled and long term beds at the Nursing Home
Educates residents, fellows, medical students, nurses and other medical personnel in the care of older adults; presents for CME activities as well as community lectures.
Completes patients’ comprehensive health history summary and physical examinations; responsible for clinical resumes for discharged patients.
