Campaign Design, Military Modeling, Network Analysis and CORE Lab Executive Director

The Department of Defense Analysis at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, is seeking to fill a Senior Lecturer, non tenure-track position in military campaign design (both conventional and unconventional), social network, temporal and geospatial analysis, and militarymodeling and formal decision-making methods.  The candidate will serve as Executive Director of the Common Operational Research Environment (CORE) Lab, an irregular warfare (IW) analytics battlelab supporting USSOCOM, JIEDDO, ASD/SOLIC and the Combating Terrorism Fellowship Program, along with the graduate curricula in the DA Department. 

The preferred candidate will have strong teaching experience at the graduate level, possess proven managerial and research experience (preferably with Department of Defense applications), and possess strategic, operational and tactical experience. Previous experience of working with the US and international SOF community is desired.  The candidate must also have an interest in interdisciplinary research and working with a cross disciplinary faculty in the areas of IW, special operations, social media exploitation, operational art, advanced analytical methodologies and strategic decision-making.

Position responsibilities include lab oversight and management, principal investigator for major DoD research projects, mobile training team leadership, teaching, and thesis/capstone oversight.  A Master’s or higher and U.S. citizenship are required.  Must currently hold or be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance.
