FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION: COMPUTER SCIENCE /INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: (Department of Computer Information Sciences, Division of Technology, Arts and Professional Studies) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated Start Date: September, 2016 (Positions Are Contingent on Budget Resources Being Available)
The CIS department is looking for a passionate educator that is committed to excellence in the classroom and can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st century learners. The ideal candidate would be expected to participate in curriculum development and college service including grant development, program review, committee work, and academic advising. The candidate is expected to teach in one or more of our core CIS disciplines as well as foundational courses in Computer Science and Information Technology.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject is required. Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Ability to integrate collaborative learning and appropriate technology into teaching strategies.
Doctoral degree with teaching experience, business and community outreach experience. Online course development and instructional technology background. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Salary: Anticipated starting salary range is $42,921.00 - $65,000.00 per academic year; complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary will be determined in accordance with classification determination of MCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
