Assists ITS PMO Director and other College project leads in the development of PMO-based project charters, scope, budgets, and other components and documents, as appropriate.
Ensures that all ITS-supported projects have a charter and business case, a project work-plan, a communications plan, and proper financial controls.
Ensures that all projects stay on task and within budget, that projects follow accepted IT methodologies, and that all project objectives are met.
Work as liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate project requirements with strong emphasis on business analysis. Ensure that project solutions derived from the requirements meets stakeholders’ needs and expectations to meet and deliver the needs identified in the project scope.
Experience creating reports and working with business intelligence software.
Ensures that the status of projects is reported accurately on a regular basis.
Works with the College’s Knowledge Management repository and project tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project.
Interfaces with ITS User Services, Desktop Support/Help Desk regarding remote tool sets, Application Services regarding secure application development, and Computer Operations on an active and ongoing basis.
Provides active and ongoing ITS-related support to other College-wide Committees, departments, and project initiatives.
Supports ITS-based communication endeavors, including Town Halls, news publications, and coordinates associated external resources.
Anticipates and meets all customer needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Performs other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Minimum of one (1) years project management experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Familiarity with the operation of knowledge repository and project tools, including SharePoint.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Must be detailed oriented
Must have the ability to manage multiple complex projects
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff within the ITS department and across organizational lines
Must have sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Project management software skills with high proficiency
Project budget development and management skills
Two (2) years information technology-related project management experience
Basic understanding of project financial management (i.e., budgets, forecasting)
Standard College Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00. Hours may vary depending on business units needs.
