Texas Woman's University, founded in 1901, is a public university with over 14,000 students. Our diverse faculty and staff deliver special educational experiences to a student body comprised of 58% pursuing undergraduate degrees and 42% pursuing graduate degrees. The main campus is located in Denton, a city of about 120,000 located 35 miles north of Dallas and Fort Worth. TWU also has campuses located in Dallas and Houston. TWU currently holds the Carnegie classification of Doctoral, Professions Dominant, which means it awards doctoral degrees in a range of fields, with the plurality in the professions other than engineering. The College of Nursing has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 and offers baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral programs. The programs in Dallas include RN to BS, RN to MS, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator masters and DNP. An increasing number of courses are now offered online. All Dallas programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

The Dallas campus is seeking faculty who can teach content in the undergraduate nursing program. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities. Qualifications include a preference for an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field.  A Master’s degree in nursing is required. Candidates must be eligible for RN licensure in Texas. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
