Description of Position: The Researcher II position is a full-time position assigned to the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. The position is responsible for managing all aspects pertaining to a grant obtained by the department. The position is contingent upon availability and financial funding.
Duties and Responsibilities: Allocating and supervising budget over several years; forecasting project and project goals into fixed deliverables over the length of the projects. 20% Travel, including week long periods of travel. Develops conceptual project design, instrument development, data collection, data entry, and data analysis. Technical report writing and supervision of graduate student researchers are involved with the grant.
Minimum Requirements: BA in one of the social sciences, finance, or/and accounting.
Preferred Requirements: Experience designing auditing equipment, programs and instrumentation. Exposure to the criminal justice system.
Incumbent will be required to obtain IDOC security clearance at time of hire.
