  • Collaborate with faculty and administrators to develop, maintain, and annually update standards and guidelines related to program evaluation, program review, outcomes assessment and institutional effectiveness, while integrating the standards and guidelines of external agencies (e.g. Illinois Community College Board, Higher Learning Commission)
  • Recommend and implement improvements to outcomes assessment, program review, and continuous improvement processes
  • Ensure integration among assessment, program, review, and department-level continuous improvement processes
  • Develop and provide training for administrators, faculty, and staff in the areas of research, assessment, program review, evaluation and department-level strategic planning
  • Coordinate outcomes assessment research, including planning, coordinating, conducting, and reporting upon assessment research
  • Manage program review research, policies and procedures, including planning, coordinating, and providing analyses for program review reports as well as guiding faculty, staff, and administrators through program review
  • Provide regular feedback and guidance to administrators, faculty, and staff completing program reviews, assessment, and department-level continuous improvement tasks
  • Work with the Senior Data Analyst to develop and implement annual timetable for program review reporting. Collaborate with Program Review Committee, Assessment Team, and Executive Council to develop presentation schedules
  • Serve on Program Review Committee, Assessment Team, and institutional special project groups
  • Design surveys and assessment materials.  Process and summarize surveys and assessment materials using optical mark scanner technology, and PC reporting software 
  • Coordinate research, research reporting, and communications with external agencies including the Higher Learning Commission, the Illinois Community College Board, and external assessment vendors regarding the College’s participation in assessment, continuous improvement, AQIP, and program reviews
  • Maintain Office of Institutional Research files, and process documentation related to continuous improvement projects, Program Review, and Assessment
  • Provide additional support for other Institutional Research Staff as needed
  • Maintain security and confidentiality regarding all appropriate files, records, and documents
  • Make a professional commitment to continual professional development through education, related reading, and membership in professional groups (such as AIR and IAIR), participate in professional conferences and workshops, and attend ICCB-sponsored meetings
  • Conduct library and Internet literature and information searches
  • Present research findings to the college community and other professional associations
  • Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
  • Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor


  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution with five or more years of work experience in program and/or policy assessment
  • Or: Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution with coursework in quantitative research methods
  • Three years of experience in assessment, program analysis or related area, including experience in the following areas: data analysis using statistical software packages; assessment of student learning or program evaluation; preparing written reports; teaching or training others. Advanced educational credentials may be substituted for experience


  • Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution with coursework in quantitative research methods
  • Experience with AQIP
