Frostburg State University, Office of Information Technology, seeks applications for a full-time, exempt Data Warehouse Architect position to manage and support FSU’s data warehouse and analytics system. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience; University System of Maryland benefits package included.
Responsibilities: Perform duties to include supporting and managing a data warehouse system; supporting data visualization infrastructure; maintaining and creating data integration between systems; implementing and leading a data governance and data integrity initiative; creating and maintaining a data dictionary; and acting as a liaison between internal customers and the data warehouse and analytics vendor.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. At least three years of experience working with relational databases. Strong understanding of relational data structures, principles, and practices. Experience with SQL server. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with ability to present ideas clearly in a user-friendly manner.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Amazon Web Services, Amazon Redshift, and Tableau. Experience working with ETL (extract, transform, load) software. Three or more years of experience designing and managing data warehouse systems. Proven project management experience.
Other: Any combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and progressively responsible related work experience may be considered.
