The VA Connecticut Healthcare System and the Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is recruiting a Staff Psychiatrist who has expertise in Serious Mental Illness including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Models, Rehabilitation Models of care, and homelessness. The candidate will be responsible for the development of an educational and research program in one of these related fields. Applicants must have successfully completed psychiatric residency training in an accredited, U.S. program, be board certified (or eligible), licensed to practice in CT and legally employable.  Applicants must also have experience, both academic and clinical in the treatment of individuals SMI, and in models of treatment including ACT models and rehabilitation. Candidates should have demonstrable administrative experience (such as chairing committees, administering multidisciplinary teams or serving in an advisory capacity to residents), academic and publication productivity (publishing data-driven research) and be in a position to grow an education and/ or research program.  For clinical work, this person will function as a staff psychiatrist, providing psychiatric care to veterans within the psychiatry service and will work with a team of psychiatrists, psychologists and other members of a multidisciplinary team at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.
