The incumbent is responsible for assigned technology used in WSU Global Campus student, online course development/delivery and business data and functions at the highest level of technology expertise with regard to conceptualization, planning, data gathering, development, deployment and maintenance of essential systems.
Primary responsibilities include:
-Develop and maintain computer/communications applications systems
-Analyze business information requirements
-Design application system solutions
-Construct and test application components
-Modify/enhance existing application components
-Integrate new applications/application components/third-party packages with existing systems and procedures
-Document and deploy application solutions
-Responsible for developing and deploying complex applications used University-wide
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
-Experience in design, development, implementation, and maintenance of electronic commerce web-based applications.
-Experience in design, development, creation and maintenance of complex relational database applications using SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
-Experience supervising one or more subordinates in a technological environment.
-Experience with system development life cycle and project management principles, including source control.
-Experience working in a higher education setting
