Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is seeking a learning-focused, creative and dynamic individual for a Farm Business and Production Management Instructor at the WITC Rice Lake Campus. An instructor’s primary purpose is to design instruction and assessment in an engaging environment to foster learner success. An instructor continually improves the overall quality in the delivery of learning to support the achievement of college outcomes and priorities utilizing evidence to support decision-making.
Instructors work in alignment with the college’s mission, vision, core values, and operating principles. Instructors are expected to provide service to the college community exemplified by teamwork, committee involvement, and participation in shared leadership activities. 1. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture related area required or equivalency.* Master’s degree in Agriculture related area preferred.

2. Two years (4,000 hours) occupational experience (non-teaching) in the Farm Business field (e.g., farm owner, farm manager/operator, livestock farmer, herd health professional) of which at least one year (2,000 hours) shall be within 5 years prior to the date of appointment. (Note: One year of occupational experience may be waived if applicant has at least two years of post-secondary teaching experience within 5 years prior to date of appointment.)
3. Knowledge of educational concepts and delivery.
4. Knowledge and experience with the development and implementation of on-line learning with agricultural related courses.
5. Experience with diverse populations and ability to work harmoniously with the local agriculture community, advisory committees, farm agencies, and UW extension agents.
6. Knowledge of crop production, dairy, and farm business management principles.
7. Demonstrated skill and ability in use of computer software applications.
8. Dedication to student success and a commitment to the technical college mission.
9. Previous teaching experience with adult learners is preferred.
*Equivalency to a bachelor’s degree is 7 years occupational experience in agriculture related area and/or a combination of training and occupational experience totaling 7 years.
