Under the immediate supervision of the Associate Director of Residential Life – Operations, the Assistant Director of Residential Life for Operations and Communications will be responsible for the housing assignment and meal plan process for over 2,500 residential students. This person assists with the overall operation of the residential life program by serving as a senior member of the Residential Life Leadership Team. The Assistant Director actively participates in college-wide and department committees. He/she directly supervises and mentors one operations staff member. Primary roles and responsibilities comprise of coordinating all major communications regarding campus announcements and marketing from the Office of Residential Life (i.e. publications, the website, and the Residential Life channel in the GoStockton Portal). The Assistant Director collaborates with external offices such as EOF, Financial Aid, External Affairs, Honors, Bursars, Computer Services and Campus Police. The Assistant Director participates in on call responsibilities, which requires some evening and weekend hours.
Master’s Degree required, preferably in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, or a related field; three years of professional experience in Residential Life, marketing, operations, and crisis-management. Preference will be given to those who have worked with StarRez Housing Software, Banner, or related programs.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm; some evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
Salary: $64,605.49 - $74,300.55
